“Busca la Suerte en el Corazón” awards €4,000 in prizes after successful fifth edition

The Asociación Empresarios Puerto del Rosario held the prize-giving today for the fifth edition of “Busca la Suerte en el Corazón”, a shopping campaign that has once again proved a great success. It awarded €4,000 in prizes, distributed as 16 gift vouchers worth €250 each, to people who chose to shop at participating businesses.

The ceremony was attended by Tourism Councillor Rosa Rodríguez and Beaches Councillor Toñi Fernández, representing Puerto del Rosario Town Council, as well as Daniela Plotegher, president of the Asociación Empresarios Puerto del Rosario. They joined the prize winners and highlighted the importance of initiatives that help strengthen the commercial fabric of the island’s capital.

The campaign, organised by the Asociación Empresarios Puerto del Rosario with the sponsorship of the capital’s Town Council, ran from 8 to 28 October. It gave consumers the chance to win one of the 16 gift vouchers by spending €10 or more at participating businesses.

After five editions, “Busca la Suerte en el Corazón” has become one of the municipality’s established initiatives to boost local trade, the business association said in a press release. The campaign combines incentives to shop with support for local businesses and efforts to build customer loyalty.

Daniela Plotegher, president of the Asociación Empresarios Puerto del Rosario, said she was pleased with how the latest edition had gone. “The real success of this campaign lies in getting people to continue choosing our shops. Five editions on, we are still showing that joint initiatives work and that shopping in Puerto del Rosario has many advantages.” She also thanked participating businesses and the Town Council for their support in making another edition possible.

Tourism Councillor Rosa Rodríguez congratulated the association on the initiative’s success, saying: “Our local businesses are vital to Puerto del Rosario’s economy and everyday life. Campaigns like this allow us to showcase the capital’s commercial offering and encourage both residents and visitors to discover our businesses.”

Beaches Councillor Toñi Fernández also stressed the importance of continued cooperation between institutions and businesses, saying: “The Town Council will continue to support initiatives that encourage people to shop locally, create new opportunities for our businesses and help keep the city active and vibrant.”

A prize that goes back to local businesses

One of the campaign’s key strengths is that the €4,000 awarded in prizes goes back into Puerto del Rosario’s commercial fabric, extending the initiative’s impact beyond the period in which it runs.

The 16 gift vouchers worth €250 each therefore not only reward customer loyalty, but also offer a further opportunity to encourage people to shop at businesses in the municipality.

The prize-giving brings the fifth edition to a close, with the Asociación Empresarios del Rosario reaffirming its commitment to boosting the local economy, supporting small businesses and promoting a model of consumption based on local connections and development.
