Contigo Tuineje calls for urgent increase in police presence after spate of robberies and stabbing of young man in Gran Tarajal
Contigo Tuineje is calling for an urgent increase in police presence after a spate of robberies and the stabbing of a young man in Gran Tarajal.
José Manuel Quintana, spokesperson for CONTIGO TUINEJE, has urgently called on the relevant authorities to immediately increase police numbers and their presence in the municipality. The appeal comes amid growing public concern over a recent spate of robberies at Gran Tarajal beach, a situation that has worsened alarmingly following the latest serious incident: the stabbing of a young local man.
The party has denounced the climate of insecurity in one of the municipality’s main commercial and tourist areas. Ongoing disturbances and robberies around Gran Tarajal beach have put residents, business owners and visitors on alert, with calls for decisive measures to ensure peace and public order.
The latest incident, in which a young man from the municipality died from a knife wound, has exhausted the patience of local residents. CONTIGO TUINEJE strongly condemns this act of violence and reiterates that residents’ safety is an absolute priority that must not be put at risk by a lack of policing resources.
The political party Contigo Tuineje is therefore urging the Government Delegation, the municipality’s governing group and the State security forces to coordinate an emergency plan that permanently increases the number of officers on the streets, steps up patrols in the municipality’s crime hotspots and restores social peace in Gran Tarajal.
