Arena Negra sets up a rest area for festivalgoers to enjoy this year’s event
Arena Negra is setting up a rest area for festivalgoers to enjoy this year’s event.
Fuerteventura Island Council, through its Department of Culture, and Tuineje Town Council are setting up a rest area for this year’s Arena Negra festival, for those who want to enjoy the event all weekend without having to travel elsewhere.
The space will be located at the Gran Tarajal Sports Centre, in the area known as El Palmeral, and will have a security service, toilets, showers and a shaded area. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Plots can be booked through the Department of Culture’s website, www.culturafuerteventura.es, with a €20 deposit payable in advance and refundable at the end of the event.
The service responds to demand from members of the public who want to enjoy the festival all weekend. The initiative will make it easier for attendees to stay and enjoy the Arena Negra experience in greater comfort, making Gran Tarajal a meeting point for one of Fuerteventura’s major music events.
The Arena Negra Festival will once again bring national and international artists to Gran Tarajal for two days of live music. Juan Magán, Rosana, Álvaro de Luna and Merche will perform on Friday 6 November, while Luis Fonsi, Delaossa, Los Secretos and Lauta will take to the stage on Saturday 7 November.
The programme will also include Arena Negra de Día, featuring five musical acts on Saturday: Andrea Rodríguez y la Banda del Trópico, Kilombo Improvisado, NIA, ContraVentura and Timbeque.
The Arena Negra Festival is organised by the Culture Department of Fuerteventura Island Council, with support from the Canary Islands Government, Tuineje Town Council, Cajasiete and the La Gavia Association.
