Antigua Town Council puts Caleta de Fuste–El Castillo resurfacing plan out to tender

Antigua Town Council has published the tender notice for the Caleta de Fuste road resurfacing plan, with an estimated contract value of €690,555.24.

Mayor Juan Cabrera estimates “a completion period of two and a half months, starting from the commencement of the works.” He says the deadline for obtaining the tender documents and submitting bids is 9 November 2026.

David Alberto Guerra, the councillor for Roads, Infrastructure and Urban Planning, says the work will involve resurfacing and repaving the carriageways, as well as horizontal road markings. He adds that the streets included in the project are Avenida Alcalde Juan Ramón Soto Morales, Avenida del Castillo and Calle Alcalde Francisco Berriel Jordán.

Juan Cabrera concludes that the plan is essential to modernising the tourist area and fulfils the commitment made by Antigua’s new governing group.
