Infernal Youth Centre returns with ‘The 4 Doors’, a horror experience created by young people from Fuerteventura

Four doors, four challenges and one goal: make it to the end. The Fuerteventura Island Council’s Island Youth Centre (CIJ) is preparing to transform itself once again into a setting of mystery and horror for Halloween. The latest edition of Infernal Youth Centre takes place on 30 October with ‘The 4 Doors’, a challenge trail inviting young people from the island to enjoy a different kind of experience, face their fears and overcome a series of challenges.

The event was conceived and designed by the Island Youth Centre Theatre Group, whose members have created an immersive experience combining performance, atmosphere and skill-based challenges. Those brave enough to take part will have to pass through four spaces, each with its own story and a challenge to overcome before they can move on and claim the final prize.

Adargoma Hernández, Fuerteventura Island Council’s councillor for Water, Education and Youth, said: “Infernal Centre is one of those activities that demonstrate everything our young people are capable of creating when they have spaces and opportunities to develop their ideas.” He also praised the involvement of the CIJ Theatre Group, “which is not only taking part in an activity, but becoming central to the entire creative process, from the initial idea to its staging”.

Bookings open, with small-group sessions

The event will take place on Friday 30 October, from 17:00 to 21:00, with sessions every 20 minutes for groups of up to eight people. It is open to young people aged 12 and over, who can register individually or as part of a group.

Participants aged 12 to 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Groups registering with young people in this age range must also be accompanied by at least one adult.

Places will be allocated strictly in order of registration, and the organisers will contact each participant to confirm their session time. Groups with fewer than eight registered participants may be joined by other participants.

With this new edition, Infernal Youth Centre is once again offering a Halloween event in which young people from Fuerteventura not only enjoy the experience but also play an active part in creating it.
