Fuerteventura Tourism Board discusses winter 2026/27 demand with leading tour operators.
Fuerteventura Island Tourism Board held a working meeting today at Hotel El Mirador in Puerto del Rosario with representatives of the main tour operators serving the island to discuss expected demand for the 2026/27 winter season. The meeting was attended by the Board’s vice-president and Fuerteventura Island Council’s Tourism Councillor, Marlene Figueroa, along with representatives of Viajes El Corte Inglés, TUI, Jet2, Easyjet Holidays and DerTouristik.
The meeting was technical in nature and focused on comparing operators’ demand forecasts with Fuerteventura’s scheduled air connectivity. Its aim was to identify the destination’s strengths and areas for improvement in the coming months, taking into account feedback from the operators’ customers in the various source markets.
The meeting forms part of the Tourism Board’s work with tour operators to track demand in source markets and identify possible adjustments to the destination’s promotion.
Fuerteventura Island Council’s Tourism Councillor and vice-president of the Fuerteventura Island Tourism Board, Marlene Figueroa, stressed that “hearing first-hand how tour operators and their customers assess Fuerteventura’s offering is essential to making well-informed decisions. These meetings allow us to compare our view of the destination with the market’s actual perception”.
The councillor also noted that “the winter season is strategically important for Fuerteventura, and working together with the operators that sell the island in Europe allows us to anticipate which areas need strengthening and where there is room for improvement”.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange information on the outlook for the winter season and the factors that could influence demand for Fuerteventura in European markets.
