Interview with Ana Pérez, president of Fuerteventura’s Association Against Metastatic Breast Cancer
An interview with Ana Pérez, president of Fuerteventura’s Association Against Metastatic Breast Cancer.
The president of Fuerteventura’s Association Against Metastatic Breast Cancer says that only Puerto del Rosario Town Council covers the cost of cancer wigs and calls for greater involvement from the other local councils. The service is essential to help patients recognise themselves in the mirror and cope with the emotional impact of the disease. “It’s shameful that we have to subsidise wigs for patients by selling little bracelets,” Ana Pérez says. She notes that the association has just raised €1,221 after three intense days at FUDENAS. That amount is enough to fund just two wigs.
