Daniela Plotegher, president of the Puerto del Rosario Business Association, has questioned the transparency of the process to renew the Fuerteventura Chamber of Commerce. She says that, despite being a member of the institution and chairing its Internal Trade Committee, she received no information about the new call for candidates or the composition of the new slate. She also points to difficulties in advancing some of the sector’s main demands, including joint action to address the island’s high logistics costs and delays.
