Fuerteventura Chamber of Commerce to close Consolídate 2026 with session on strategic business management
The Fuerteventura Chamber of Commerce will bring Consolídate 2026 to a close with a session on taking a more strategic approach to running a business.
The Fuerteventura Chamber of Commerce will hold the closing session of the Consolídate 2026 programme on 30 October. The event invites the island’s entrepreneurs and business owners to reflect on how they manage their businesses and the importance of taking a strategic approach that enables them to meet day-to-day challenges without losing sight of their growth goals.
The session will take place at the Centro Insular de Juventud from 10:00 to 13:00 and will feature a talk entitled “Fewer fires to put out, more business to steer”, delivered by Presen Simón. She will address one of the most common challenges in entrepreneurship: finding a balance between meeting the immediate needs of a business and making time to plan, make decisions and set its direction. In an engaging and approachable session, the speaker will explore the difference between working in the business and working for the business — two approaches that are key to moving from a focus on resolving urgent issues to one geared towards growth and the sustainability of the business.
The session will offer tools and ideas to help identify the patterns that keep business owners and entrepreneurs constantly dealing with unforeseen problems, as well as strategies for regaining control of their time, setting priorities and improving decision-making.
Topics will include strategic planning, work organisation, managing urgent demands and personal leadership, seen as a fundamental ability for steering business projects with greater clarity, autonomy and a long-term perspective.
A session to gain perspective and keep growing
The event will bring Consolídate 2026 to a close, offering participants the chance to review what they have learned during the programme and strengthen the skills of those running their own businesses.
With this initiative, the Fuerteventura Chamber of Commerce aims to convey an essential idea: a company’s growth depends not only on its day-to-day activity, but also on the ability of those leading it to pause, assess its situation and make decisions that help build solid, sustainable businesses.
The session is aimed at entrepreneurs and business owners who want to improve how they manage their businesses, gain new leadership tools and move towards more considered, strategic management.
