Los Lajares de Tapeo returns for its 3rd edition on 6 and 7 November

La Oliva Town Council, through its Commerce Department, overseen by Alexandra Martín, will hold the 3rd edition of “Los Lajares de Tapeo 2026” on 6 and 7 November. The event will once again turn Los Lajares Public Square into a meeting place for food, local businesses, music and activities for the whole family.

A total of 22 food businesses from different parts of the Island will take part: 10 from Los Lajares, 5 from Corralejo, 5 from El Cotillo, one from Villaverde and one from Jandía.

The programme begins at 5 pm on Friday 6 November, when the food stalls open. They will remain open until 12.30 am. The evening will include a children’s cheese-making workshop led by Mario Benítez, performances by Parranda + del Norte and Mejor con Copas, and a closing set by Dúo Fantasía (Flor).

Activities on Saturday 7 November will begin at 10 am, with a varied programme. Visitors can browse the craft market organised by the Relajarte Association, take part in a ham workshop promoted by the Local Development Department, and join “Meet the furry residents of the municipal shelter”, an activity organised by the Public Health Department. There will also be a range of children’s workshops and dedicated spaces for children and young people. The food stalls will open at 1 pm.

The awards ceremony will take place at 6 pm, followed by live music from Parranda La Serena, Grupo Tabajoste and Laly Lean, who will bring the 3rd edition to a musical close.

The event is organised by La Oliva Town Council’s Commerce Department, with the support of the FuerteGourmet Association, which is involved in organising the gathering, and the Relajarte Association, which is responsible for the craft market on Saturday.

La Oliva Mayor Isaí Blanco said: “We are presenting the 3rd edition of this food festival in Los Lajares and inviting all residents and visitors to the municipality to come and enjoy an event that showcases local cuisine, promotes businesses in our municipality and offers a varied programme for the whole family over the weekend.”

Commerce Councillor Alexandra Martín said: “In its 3rd edition, Los Lajares de Tapeo is establishing itself as an event that brings together food, support for local businesses and entertainment. We want residents and visitors to enjoy Los Lajares over these two days, discover the variety of participating businesses and share a programme designed for people of all ages.”

The event is organised by La Oliva Town Council’s Commerce Department in collaboration with the FuerteGourmet Association and the Relajarte Association, which is responsible for the craft market taking place on Saturday.
