Pedro Casablanc’s health forces cancellation of “Bécquer y Quevedo” at Fuerteventura Book Fair

The production company has confirmed that the actor’s health means the performance scheduled for this Sunday, 18 October, cannot go ahead at the 36th Fuerteventura Book Fair.

The 36th Fuerteventura Book Fair will ultimately be unable to feature Bécquer y Quevedo. Amor y Muerte, starring actors Pedro Casablanc and Jorge Rivera, which was scheduled for this Sunday, 18 October.

Producciones Lastra S.L. has announced that the show has been cancelled because Pedro Casablanc is experiencing health problems that prevent him from taking part on the scheduled date.

In a press release signed by its administrator, Agustín Lastra Suárez, the company expresses its regret over circumstances beyond its control and apologises for any inconvenience caused to both the organisers of the Fuerteventura Book Fair and the public who had planned to attend.

The production company also thanks the public for its understanding and support, as well as the literary event’s organisers for their cooperation.

For now, the press release gives no new date for the performance and provides no further details about the actor’s health.
